Too much time on my hands

As I sit here in front of my computer trying to figure out what site I want to go to next, I listen to my tenant downstairs watching Spongebob Squarepants on netflix. Is it the fact that he's 29 years old watching Spongebob that has me blogging. NO! Every once in a while you need to embrace that little kid on the inside. The thing that has me thinking is Spongebob himself.

Ok here we have a cartoon sea sponge. That has the mind of a child, acts like a child,is a child; has a heart of gold, has a job that he loves and takes pride in, a house of his own, his best friend has a house of his own (although its under a rock), has and takes care of his pet.

And I wonder why is it that a cartoon sponge has more responsibility than some grown folk. I mean, why is it that a cartoon character who is a child handling grown man/woman business. He doesn't live with his parent, He cooks, he cleans, he apparently pays bills and goes to school.

YET, you have people in the real world who refuse to get a job, refuse to clean, refuse to take care of their responsibilities. Maybe, just maybe we need to follow in SpongeBob's footsteps.
